Song Ji-hyo Turns Running Man Delay into Comedy Gold: “Selling Lingerie Made Me Late!”
On the May 4 episode of SBS’s Running Man, actress and CEO Song Ji-hyo caused a stir by arriving late and her cheeky excuse had everyone laughing: “I was out selling clothes!”
The episode featured the cast taking on the roles of quirky startup CEOs in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province. As members gathered for the opening, Song Ji-hyo was noticeably missing. Yoo Jae-suk lightened the mood by pointing out Ji Ye-eun‘s exaggerated shoulder pads, only for her to reply, “I coordinated this outfit with Ji-hyo unnie.”
But where was Ji-hyo? Yoo Jae-suk quickly filled everyone in: “She took a wrong turn. She’s lost.” Ji Suk-jin added with a laugh, “She decided to drive herself instead of coming with her manager classic Ji-hyo.”
Eventually, Song Ji-hyo arrived on set, visibly out of breath. With perfect comedic timing, she quipped, “Sorry, I was late selling clothes.”
Beyond her screen presence, Song Ji-hyo has recently taken on the role of entrepreneur. In 2024, through YouTube channel “Pinggyego”, she announced the launch of her perfume and lingerie brand. But she even shared her struggles with the lingerie brand on “GYM JONG KOOK.”
Her candid and relatable persona continues to charm audiences, whether she’s leading missions on Running Man or paving a new path in the business world.
